Why Eustressin’
Scholarship
Investing in the next generation of
culturally competent healers.
Our Story
Since 2019, Eustress Inc. has awarded 19 scholarships to Black male graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in mental health. This scholarship was born from a simple truth: our communities cannot heal if there is no one who looks like us, sounds like us, and understands us sitting in the room.
The Why Eustressin’ Scholarship is not just financial support — it is a declaration that your presence in this field matters, that your story is a clinical asset, and that Bertie County and communities like it are investing in you before you ever walk through a door.
Each year, we present this scholarship at the Mental Health Awareness Gala. Recipients join a growing network of clinicians, advocates, and healers who are changing what mental health care looks like in Black and underserved communities.
