Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that gives people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it does build mental health literacy, helping the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness.

Eustress Inc. and the Bertie County YMCA present Bertie County's Second Annual Let's Talk About It Mental Health Awareness Walk.

There is no doubt that mental illness is a health condition that is preventable or treatable. Over 42 million people in the United States suffer from some form of mental illness, and approximately 1 in 25 adults in the U.S. will experience a serious mental illness in a given year that substantially interferes with their life activities.

Yet, the stigma associated with mental illness causes far too many people to suffer in silence.

The “Let's Talk about It Walk” will be held at Livermon Park. We ultimately want to show support for those in the community living with mental disorders and to encourage everyone to not be afraid to TALK ABOUT IT!

Registration Check-in for the Walk begins at 8:30 a.m

Vendors promoting resources to holistically improve one's mental health will be available beginning at 9 a.m!

FREE Yoga Session led by Danielle Terrell, owner of Zeal For Life Dance Company at 9:30 am!

The Event Program begins at 10:30 a.m.!

All proceeds will go to Eustress Inc's mission to break the stigma surrounding mental illness in the community.
